Brymbo, Wrexham.

This site is a former steelworks extending to 270 hectares of brownfield land, of which 93 hectares was heavily contaminated.

Following a reclamation of over 2 million cubic metres, we developed a masterplan to cover the entire landholding that aimed to create an enduring legacy for the town.

The development has so far delivered 550 houses, an Enterprise Centre for the local community and has assisted in the establishment of the Brymbo Heritage Trust to maintain the history of the area. This includes the iron and steel heritage and also a fossilised forest, one of the only examples in Europe.
